Dear Students and Colleagues,

I know from personal experience that it can be difficult at times to satisfy those necessary Continuing Education requirements. We may need CE Credits to renew our license or a specific class for our training and the class we need just is not offered or would require expensive travel and time away from home and work.

Obviously convenience and price are big considerations when it comes to choosing where and how you fulfill your CE credit, but let’s be real: if it is drudgery to complete a course, you won’t want to do it. I know, because I too need to complete Continuing Education Credits to keep my certifications and licenses current – and I have to be honest, not a whole lot of what I have looked at in my own search for CE credit got me very excited.

With all that in mind, I have done my best to make my CE courses interesting, fun and relevant to your work and life. Actually many of the people who took one of my courses have come back and have since taken 2 or 3 more because the courses were so beneficial to them.  Some of those benefits are fairly measurable like when someone increases their client base, writes their first brochure 5 year into being in practice :) or can now handle a difficult situation with the client with confidence or resolve a conflict with an office mate that made going to work miserable. Other benefits are more subtle but important nevertheless as they affected the quality of their lives and work : avoiding burn out, feeling clarity of intent and purpose, being able to maintain clear boundaries, being able to communicate more effectively – the list goes on.

I started offering Distant Learning classes to Ortho-Bionomy® students almost 20 years ago.  I did so in response to students telling me that certain classes weren’t available or the schedule of when and where they were offered didn’t fit for them. They were so happy that they could now do these classes with ease, at their own pace and from the comfort of their own home.

Not long after I had designed my first distant learning course for Ethics and Emotions, it became clear that distant learning courses that provided CE credit were much needed in the lives of many busy body-workers and massage therapists.

So I became a NCBTMB approved provider and I expanded my offering of classes.

As a result, you can now you can choose from five different NCBTMB approved classes as well as the Practitioner Training Seminar for students of Ortho-Bionomy.

Here are Some of the Many Benefits of Taking Distant Learning Courses:

  • You get to do your coursework according to your own schedule.
  • You can utilize your own experiences, discoveries and the questions that arise during the normal course of your practice and in your life instead of constructing or discussing examples that may not be relevant to your situation.
  • You can apply what you learn and receive help and feedback from me, as you complete your assignments.
  • You incur no travel expenses or time away from work.
  • You get personal attention from me for your specific questions and concerns.

All courses provide 16 units of continuing education credits for massage therapists and body workers as well as fulfilling the 16 unit requirement for each of the classes in the Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner Training Program.

For those who need fewer than 16 credits of Ethics and Emotions, the courses can be modified to the needs of the individual student or practitioner.

Here is what Alan Saxon, advanced instructor of Ortho-Bionomy, said about one of my courses:

Bettina Seidl’s course is very empowering in reconnecting to one’s commitment to the recovery of total integrity in matters of personal/professional relationship….

More awareness in all activities of life is rewarding, but more awareness of self in the healing context of the therapeutic relationship may be crucial to your evolvement.  Take this course.
——Alan Saxon, certified Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy
